Hey Little Ant Opinion Writing Prompt, Ant Craft and Spring Bulletin Board Book Recommendation:

This common core aligned project pairs perfectly with the book Hey, Little Ant by Phillip and Hannah Hoose. However, owning this book is by no means necessary for using this resource.

Ideas for Using Hey Little Ant Opinion Writing Prompt, Ant Craft and Spring Bulletin Board:

As a class, students will read aloud Hey, Little Ant and make a T-chart on reasons we should or should not squish ants. Students will then brainstorm, draft, plan, edit and publish a writing piece about 4 different reasons to support their opinion on the topic. Afterwards, students will complete a simple ant craft to add a pop of color and fun to their writing for the perfect spring bulletin board.
