This can be tied into a geography unit and students can pick locations that have been studied or can practice their map skills by drawing out where they would visit.

Teaching Tips for the Plan a Road Trip Writing Prompt and Car Craft:

After students plan a road trip with 4 stops, students will brainstorm, draft, plan, edit and publish a writing piece about 4 different places they visited during their road trip. Students can write using a problem and solution, or just write about 4 sequential events. Afterwards, students will complete a simple car craft to add a pop of color and fun to their writing.
