Refresh your writing block with this fun spin on an All About Me writing project. Instead, have students write all about someone else. Whether it is a classmate, a friend, a parent, a teacher or a character, help students write all about someone else with this fun prompt and spin on an all about me craft.
Take students through the writing process with these differentiated graphic organizers then have them top off their writing with a fun boy or girl craft that doubles as an adorable back to school or community bulletin board.
All About My Friend Community Building Ideas:
This All About Me makes a GREAT community building activity that could be used in a morning meeting or other social emotional learning setting. To use this in that way, I would spend morning meeting time letting students “interview” the person they are going to write about. Follow the normal steps for taking students through the writing process, then allow students to use another morning meeting time to share their writing with the class. This community building activity would work well at back to school, but also throughout the year as students can use this opportunity to learn more about each other.
